It started drizzling shortly after we set out. It may not be a good day for a long walk I thought. It was about 25 minutes drive and the weather might change though I decided to give it a try. Fortunately the rain stopped before we arrived. We wrapped ourself as much as possible and got out of the car. Along the bay shore the wind made the salty air thinner. On one side of the trail was the open sea of Cold Spring Harbor and on the other was a swamp which is the very end of Lloyd Harbor. I see many wild birds resting in that swamp every time I pass by, now it was an empty playground. The naked trees stood against the backdrop of the gray sky in which clouds started clumping together. On our way back to the car, the sky unexpectedly cracked like ice. Instead of rain, the sunshine was pouring down.
